If something doesn’t exist, in the artistic field, there’s only one option: to create it.

Following an interest in the natural world, the artist Mona Caron has brought it in grey cities through her murals in a project that has been lasting for many years and whose name is Weeds.

From Switzerland to America, from Spain to Brasil, on the facades of buildings weeds and flowers that usually are eradicated find a way to be, to grow, to shine. Mona thinks of who knows resilience, of who doesn’t fit in society but still can go ahead on its journey and she remembers them with her murals about their strength.

Some of this wonderful drawings, if we observe them closer, reveal details that we can’t see before: they tell about the place in which they have been created, about the social life around them, about the possibilities of a future that eradicates nothing, instead a future that finds a place for everybody and everything.
