The 240-page Nudes collection contains over a hundred sensual photographs of naked bodies, in more detail, a series of photos taken by Lynch exploring female forms. With his characteristic “alien” gaze, the director brings out from the darkness only what he wants to show of his subjects, giving the entire collection a constant mysterious tension.

Many photographs remain a real rebus, where perspectives and angles become an indecipherable means to experience the potential of the female body, making it disturbing and disorienting. Knowing the director, all this should not surprise, but should be seen as an added value that can bring out the supernatural element, if not, it would not be David Lynch.
