Philip Lindeman illustrates the colourful side of life

If there is one thing Philip Lindeman proves every time he publishes a new illustration, it is that anything can be the perfect subject. After all, the talent of the artist is also the ability to find something special in what surrounds us every day and what we now consider boring.
In this, the Utrecht-based Dutch artist is second to none.

Philip Lindeman’s first approach to the art world was through graffiti, until he discovered graphic design during his school years. Since then Philip has never stopped creating, making perfect use of digital media to create colourful and playful illustrations that tackle any subject with an ironic and humorous edge.

His vast production includes personal projects, such as the one he did during the lockdown, in which he began to illustrate scenes that we have all experienced, but that Philip drew have a certain something funny about them: two guys on a video call, each reading his own book, or a house that becomes an office, a gym or a restaurant.

We also find work for clients, especially magazines and journals, where the illustration becomes almost conceptual and Lindeman tackles issues related to current affairs, politics, climate change and taxes.

We have selected some of his work, but follow him on Instagram to find out more and don’t miss the next ones.
