Roots, or Raízes in Spanish, is the new furniture collection by Furf Design Studio, the design studio founded by Mauricio Noronha and Rodrigo Brenner in 2011 in Curitiba, Brazil. 

With this collection, the studio wants to focus the attention of its buyers on the problem of deforestation, also linked to the current events that have seen the Amazon Forest burn inexorably. For this reason, the three pieces that compose Roots are reminiscent of the shapes of trees. 

It is a table, a bench and a series of shelves whose structure starts from the ceiling with a sheet of polished metal from which ropes reach the floor, optically creating the figure of a tree with roots ready to extend until they touch the furniture in the vicinity. The tops that form the table, bench or shelves are then hung from the ropes and can be moved at will to adapt them to the height of your home. 

In addition, although the furniture takes up a lot of space, the fact that it is made with ropes makes it easier to move, saving on packaging.
