Talented Belgian artist Saype, of whom we had previously spoken here, is back with a spectacular new creation of 5,000 m² on the shores of Lake Geneva. The work of land art is entitled “Message from the future” and is an opportunity to homage SOS Mediterranean association, which every year saves migrants in the Mediterranean Sea. The mural was placed on the lawn of the park adjacent to headquarters of United Nations and represents a child, called “Future” because children will constitute the society of tomorrow.

The artist explains his work as follows:

“With my team, we are very happy, this project was born in March 2018. We are very sensitive to the fact that people put their life aside for two weeks, three weeks, to go on board the SOS Mediterranean Aquarius boat, knowing full well that they will be confronted with abominable life situations, we had a whole period of doubts, we did not know how to position ourselves because the migration issue is really thorny. There is no clear question: we understand the people of southern Italy who have the bulk of the migratory flow and who saturate, but we have to understand the people who cross the Mediterranean. to be born in a country at war, or in economic social misery, and what would be done in their place? “

Take a look at his website to find out more.
