Marco Proserpio arrives in cinemas with THE MAN WHO STOLE BANKSY, a film about art, street art, illegality and the birth of a new market.

The film begins with the story of 2007, when Banksy made on the wall of a Palestinian house the famous work of the soldier who asks for documents from a donkey, arousing the indignation of the community, continuing with the story of the Palestinian taxi driver Walid who had the idea to literally cut the piece of wall and sell it to the best buyer. Starting from this event we analyze an entire culture, the Palestinian one, the concept of street art comparing it to the art that is exhibited in museums and galleries, up to the birth of an entire art market that appropriates the works of artists who remain anonymous, all told by the voice of Iggy Pop.

THE MAN WHO STOLE BANKSY has been realized by editing images shot in HD, movies made on site, photos, and archive videos will be in selected cinemas that you can find on www.nexodigital.it only on 11 and 12 December.
