Pride, avarice, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and sloth. The seven deadly sins are reinterpreted in relation to today’s world, the contemporary world and social networks by Max Magaldi in his latest work entitled theVices.
The seven deadly digital vices, in fact, are the focus of this investigation that started with the first stage on 4 and 5 December at the Petrella Theatre in Longiano.
Visitors who went to the theatre found themselves in front of “Vainglory”, a multimedia installation produced by STUDIO STUDIO STUDIO that tackles a theme – or perhaps a problem – that characterises our society: that unbearable and obsessive need to express oneself.

What Max Magaldi literally staged was a reversal of roles that began with the overturning of the theatre’s spaces. A total of 150 devices were installed in the stalls and on the boxes, each one broadcasting a different multimedia content, and visitors were made to sit on the stage.
What came to life before the visitors’ eyes was an orchestra of digital devices, whose lights and sounds filled the theatre space.
“Vainglory” is only the first event of theVices, which will be a journey along which typical behaviours and trends of today will be analysed and become the pretext for works and installations that aim to open the eyes of the spectators.
