Edgar Goás Blanco, better known as Wedo Goás, is an artist born in Galicia in 1990 who has become one of the most interesting muralists on the international scene. Goás’s path began far from the spotlight, among the industrial and abandoned spaces of his small hometown. It was there that he started experimenting with color and gesture, transforming anonymous walls into monumental canvases. Since 2017, his career has taken a professional direction, leading him to take part in more than thirty mural festivals around the world.

Goás’s style oscillates between Impressionism and contemporary Realism, with a technical precision that never stifles emotion. In his works, the human figure becomes a vehicle for social, cultural, and identity narratives, often tied to the territory and the communities in which the artist operates. These are not merely powerful images, but true visual statements that give voice to collective stories.

His artistic research, however, is not limited to walls. Goás continually explores new forms and languages: theater scenography, sculpture, immersive installations, video mapping, animation, music videos, fashion design, album covers, 3D modeling, and even sculpture in virtual reality. A multifaceted practice that allows him to move fluidly between analog and digital, between street and studio.

In 2020, together with other creatives, he founded La Séptima, a music and design studio based in Barcelona, now considered among the most important on the Spanish urban scene, with collaborations spanning the globe. Here, too, his inclination emerges to build bridges, mix disciplines, and redefine the very concept of urban creativity.

For years now, Wedo Goás has been reaffirming how muralism can still be a living language today, capable of telling complex and necessary stories. An art that not only decorates cities, but makes them more aware of their own memory and roots.
