“You and Whose Army?”, the latest work of the Beast collective

After almost 90 days of lockdown, the art collective Beast couldn’t wait to pick up the paint and, to celebrate this reopening, took the opportunity to create a new artwork entitled “You and whose army?“.

Installed on an electric tower in the open countryside of Northern Italy, the great work “You and whose army?“, 8 meters high, portrays the writer Jack Kerouac in modern clothes.
A common practice in Beast’s contemporary collages, which always portrays well-known characters such as Sigmund Freud, Friedrich Nietzsche, Mao Zedong and Jean-Michel Basquiat in informal and very modern clothing compared to the time they lived.

Jack Kerouac‘s collage is the last one made in order of time, is part of the Old But Gold series and is available in limited edition on the Italian collective’s website.
