We know he’s English, but Banksy never makes to feel too much his lack in New York.
To demonstrate his relationship with the city, the unknown artist has confirmed in his Instagram profile that two new murals in Midwood, a section of Brooklyn, are his pieces: the first one portrays a group of people followed by a threatening white collar, probably a royal estate developer, that brandishes a red line of a graphic as a weapon, the second one instead has a funny seal that is playing with a ball as its character.
It’s hard to comprehend which is the hidden meaning of the second subject, but it’s quite sure that there are interesting references to gentrification on the first one, probably because not quite far there are several properties of president Donald Trump.
There is the message, the artistic talent, the mystery of his subjects and the area became pretty quickly a perfect spot for some shootings: I think America is quite satisfied by his periodic dose of Banksy.
