John Kacere is an American artist, born in 1929 and passed away before the twentieth century ended. He first approached abstract-expressionist painting, but from 1963 he devoted himself to photorealism, a current linked to hyperealism, born in the years of Pop Art.

John Kacere dedicated his artistic research to the female body: from 1969 he began to work on this series in which the body of a woman is represented from the waist to the knees in lingerie. Lace, stripes, silk. Never a face, never a look. Just a body halved on a bed, sleeping, lying down. A still life with well-defined and sinuous curves, so realistic that it looks like a digital photo.
