The immersive installations of teamLab are a sensory experience of three hundred and sixty degrees. The spectator becomes protagonist and part of this parallel world, of which we had already spoken here.
TeamLab is a particularly innovative Japanese collective: it’s an interdisciplinary creative group that brings together professionals from various fields of practice in the digital society.

Artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, architects, graphic designers and web and print editors such as “ultra-technologists“, the studio aims to achieve a balance between art, science, technology and creativity.

This summer, teamLab is opening a large-scale digital art museum in the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo. The immersive museum presents multiple three-dimensional spaces arranged on an overwhelming 10,000 square meter scale and uses 520 computers and 470 projectors.
To describe this huge system they use the term “borderless teamLab“, it represents the nature of structures without boundaries that transcend the various rooms, crawl in them, communicate with other works of art and sometimes blend with them.
