About two years ago, JR, the world-renowned Parisian artist, unveiled his installation for the 30th anniversary of the Louvre Pyramid. Now JR is back in his hometown with a special surprise, a new work located at the Trocadero, the monumental area on the Rive Droite of the Seine from which the Eiffel Tower can be admired in all its beauty on the other side.

This morning, Parisians woke up to a new installation made using the special gluing technique that JR has also used in works such as Finding Hope for Time, the artwork in the Tehachapi maximum security prison and his latest work on the facade of Palazzo Strozzi in Florence.

Again, this is an anamorphic work, i.e. it has to be looked at from a precise point to reveal all its beauty, creating a sort of optical illusion. As it is a work that starts from the place where it is housed, this installation should be looked at with the Eiffel Tower as if by magic.
