The first time we talked about Lana Prins was six years ago. She was twenty years old but her photography already had that imprint and style that made us follow her during this time, always being fascinated by each new shot.
This time we want to focus on a rather recurring element in her photographs, which is water.
If you go to see her gallery on Instagram, a real portfolio, you will notice that her favourite subjects have remained the naked bodies, often of people close to her like her friends and sister. It’s thanks to this relationship between the photographer and the subjects that delicate and ethereal shots are born, from which shines that intimacy, daughter of a very close relationship, that turns into spontaneity and freedom.
Many of the subjects taken by Lana Prins, besides playing with flowers and objects, play with water. So, the small waves of empty pools gently caress legs, breasts, backs, necks, transparent water wets the soft lips of girls and, again, light petticoats stick to bodies immersed in common pools.
Everything, every element present in the images of the young photographer exudes an almost forbidden sensuality that we are lucky enough to be able to look at.
