It has happened to all of us – even those who are not in the profession – to take a picture of someone, a portrait, and to take a lot of time to be able to capture the perfect moment, the one in which the light hits the face in a certain way, the one in which the hair is not out of place and the expression exactly as we wanted it. Nirish Shakya will be able to blow your mind.
Nirish Shakya aka Nizzah is a Nepalese-Australian-born photographer living and working in London. Nirish started shooting during his travels and little by little his passion for photography grew into his work. The discovery of the places he visited took place mainly through the camera with which he focused on people’s faces.

This curious and direct approach led him to develop a recognizable style that is perfect both for personal projects and for commercial and editorial works.
Nirish Shakya seems to be drawn to those moments that if we were photographing we would surely discard: because faces are often covered by windblown hair or something like that.
Instead, Nizzah shows us how spontaneity and naturalness between one pose and another can hide an unseen beauty, all to be discovered.
