A few days ago NOAH unveiled its new Fall 2021 range of graphic tees.
The brand founded by Brendon Babenzien has always expressed its philosophy and ideals through the graphics of its t-shirts.

Music, art, design, social and environmental causes are some of the themes that NOAH has always had at heart since its inception in 2015, constantly promoting them precisely through the tees that become fundamental and above all direct means of communication.
Among this year’s tees, there is one that caught our attention more than the others. 

The protagonist of this story is Rembrandt’s “The Storm on the Sea of Galilee“, painted by the Dutch painter in 1633 and kept in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston until its theft on March 18, 1990, when two thieves stole 13 works of art with a total value of 500 million dollars, including the work in question.

The painting is inspired by a biblical quote in the Gospel of Mark spoken by Jesus Christ: the followers of Christ were terrified when they encountered a storm that threatened to destroy the boat on which they were sailing. Christ, who had fallen asleep, was awakened by their cries and asked, “Why are you afraid, O ye of little faith?” before calming the wind and the waves.

In explaining why this choice was made NOAH stated: “For us, it’s like a reminder to always have faith in your ideals and move forward, even when you’re going through hard times and the world seems to be sinking.”
